New EN ISO 16890 standard

MORE PRECISE FILTER CLASSIFICATION

From July 218 EN ISO 16890 standard on filters and filtering replaces previous EN 779. The main difference between standards is that ISO 16890 requires testing of filters efficiency in wider range of particles thus providing more information on efficiency with particle matters of different sizes.

As the direct alignment is not possible, therefore ventilation companies provide different comparative tables. We present the most common one.

Our filters have been tested according to new EN ISO 16890 standard:

  • G4 filter corresponds to Coarse 65%;
  • M5 filter – ePM10 55%;
  • F7 filter achieved the highest possible efficiency – ePM1 70%.

Our F7 filters trap more than 70% of the most hazardous particles of size <1µm!
