Filters for WAVIN ventilation units: tips on how to choose

Not sure which filter to choose for your WAVIN ventilation system? Since the ventilation unit, including the popular WAVIN VENTIZA HP REK1318, ASPIRLIGHT HV, ASPIRCOMFORT and ASPIRLIGHT BP models, is responsible for your home's air quality, choosing the right filter and timely maintenance are crucial. Below are the main tips to help you decide easily.

How to choose and which class to select?

The choice of filter class directly depends on the air pollution of your living environment and personal needs. If you live in the suburbs, away from heavy traffic streets, standard protection filters are usually sufficient. However, if your home is in the city, near gravel roads, busy streets, or if there are allergic people in the family, it is highly recommended to choose higher-class filters that ensure maximum air purification.

What is the difference between G4, M5, and F7 filters?

To ensure an optimal microclimate, it is important to understand the main differences between filter classes:

  • G4 class: Basic protection. These filters effectively capture larger particles – lint, hair, insects, and coarse dust. Suitable for areas with low air pollution.
  • M5 class: Medium efficiency filtration. Captures not only large particles but also finer dust and some pollen. It is a great compromise between basic protection and maximum filtration.
  • F7 class: Highest efficiency protection. Designed to capture the finest PM2.5 and PM1 particles (smog residue, pesticide dust), pollen, and mold spores. This is the best choice for allergy sufferers and city dwellers. (If necessary, you can choose F7/AC sets with activated carbon to absorb odors).

When to change the ventilation unit filters?

Dirty filters not only clean the air poorly but also increase the power consumption and noise level of the ventilation unit. To maintain flawless system operation, it is recommended to change WAVIN ventilation unit filters every 3–6 months. The exact time depends on environmental pollution and the intensity of use of the ventilation system.
